Why I wrote Fate of the Three

I wrote the first rough draft of The Fate of the Three – A Yukon Survival Adventure in 1998. Back then, the title of the story was Hawk and Shadow. I started writing after I became disabled in August 1996. It was a way to express how I was adapting to using a wheelchair and breathing on a ventilator. Those were difficult times, and writing helped me accept my new life.

After writing about personal insights of my life, I started writing 1 to 3 pages of mini short stories that had a comical flavor for them. Hawk and Shadow was my first short story that genuinely activated my writing creativity. In the following years, I wrote five more short stories. I haven’t decided yet to publish them separately or together as an anthology.
